I am back today with the next favorites post. My apologies for last week Telstra decided I didn’t need Internet for a few days. Good job Telstra. Anyways, todays post is my favourite favorites post. Because I freaking love foundations, I am sure we all know that by now.
I always know which foundations are my favorites because I tend to have more than one shade. Todays post are my top 5 foundations that I just can’t live without. If I could only have 5 foundations in my collection these would be my picks. All these foundations have one thing common and that is they are full coverage. Which is everything I look for in my foundation choice.
This has been a go to favourite forever. It is affordable and you can always find it on special somewhere, good option for many people’s budgets.
This foundation is so full coverage I personally love the matte finish because I am a little oily in the T zone. However if you don’t like the matte finish of this foundation a good tip is to mix with the Dewy and Smooth Formula. I love this combination; the skin looks flawless but also healthy and glowing.
This is my go to choice for everyday work wear. My only negative with this foundation is it doesn’t last long enough through my t zone. I feel like when I get home from work after 8 hours my chin and nose have rubbed off. I do in a way think this is normal because I tend to touch my nose and chin a lot throughout the day. To help with the longevity I make sure I set those areas with a loose powder.
This used to be my favourite high-end foundation until another baby made its way into its place. However I am still in love this foundation. Don’t let the name scare you from trying it, as it isn’t too glowy. It does however have a natural finish, I describe it as my skin but better. This foundation was on my wish list for what seems like forever. When I finally purchased it I never put it down. I now own 2 shades and I already need another after using it way too much. The only downfall or this foundation is it doesn’t come with a pump so you have to purchase that separately. Sheer Glow has a medium to buildable coverage I can always get my desired full coverage and the formula is quite thin so it doesn’t feel heavy at all on the face.
I would have to say this baby has to be ultimate favourite full coverage foundation. The formula has a liquid Consistency. My advice is to start with the tiniest amount and slowly add more. Think about it this way, most of my full coverage foundations. I still use 1 and a half to 2 layers to get that desired full coverage. Well with this bad boy you literally need one layer, it goes so far and has so much coverage. One layer can easily cover my redness, scaring, and any acne I may. Any more than one layer it starts to cake up, that’s why I recommend starting with less. I have seen a few people complaining about this foundation and that was why because they were using far too much product.
I love this foundation for events or nighttime outings. As the coverage is so full on I think it’s a bit too much for daytime wear. My only downfall of this product is it doesn’t have a pump it has a ball like applicator thing, which isn’t very hygienic. This foundation is quite pricey but because you don’t need much at all I feel like its going to last me awhile. Even though I have already knocked it off my desk and all over the carpet I still have a tonne of product left. If you are looking to treat yourself I highly recommend you check out this foundation, you wont regret it.
A top pick as my favourite foundation because it works well on so many skin types. For myself I have normal to combination skin. However in the summer I get oily and in the winter I have dry patches. This foundation will work for me all year round; I know I can always rely on it. Has a decent amount of coverage, can be easily built up and has a natural flawless finish. I have mentioned this foundation before in a dupes post which il link here.
The downfall of this foundation has no pump but you can purchase it separately. Studio Fix comes in a great range of shades, with yellow and pink undertones. This foundation is really well priced in Australia its $50 which I think is reasonable for a high end foundation.
Another go to favourite choice for everyday wear. I just love how fresh and flawless my skin looks when applied and throughout the day. Ready set gorgeous has medium coverage. I do find that the darker shades I use when tanned work better as they have more pigment and cover my redness and scarring. But the light shades do still have enough pigment to even out skin tone. This is another foundation I will always pick up in sales I can always find it for under $15 AUD which is a crazy price considering the formula of this product.
