This week on My Makeup Desk is a rather large haul, I brought all of this within about 2 weeks and everything has finally arrived.
The start of my online retail therapy was the Too Faced Sweet Peach palette being released at Mecca. I purely brought so I could smell it myself. I do have a first impressions coming so I wont go into that too much. But the smell really delicious, and the palette has a good range of colours.
Next up was Jeffree Star Cosmetics release of the Skin Frosts and Beauty Killer palette. I was up at 3am ready to go, everything sold out in seconds I only managed to get a Skin Frost highlighter in Ice Cold.
About a week later Jeffree Star restocked and I got the Beauty Killer palette. I was unsure on this palette as the colours are quite bold and not really colours I normally go for but im so happy I got it. The shades are so pigmented and creamy, and have a variety of looks. A few days later the new shades in the velour lips range went live. I got both Rose Matter and Mannequin. I was so excited to pick these up as I love the formula of the velour liquid lipsticks.
This gem has been on my wish list forever and I’m so happy I finally gave in and purchased it. The Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar bronze and glow is to die for, I think the highlighter has just become my everyday go to.
This next palette I thought was forever away from being released when I first seen it on their Instagram, however it appeared on their website not even a week later. The Anastasia Modern Renaissance just spoke to me, I knew it just had to be a part of my collection and the colours are everything. The good thing about this palette is this is the first permanent release so you will always be able to get your hands on it.
By now I think you can tell im all about eyeshadow palettes. I decided it was time to purchase the Shaaanxo palette since she is one of my favourite Youtubers. How amazing is it that it has both eyeshadows and lipsticks, making it so easy for travel and has a good range of colours.
On to the next purchase was the Kylie lip kits, as soon as they were restocked I jumped on and put 2 random ones in my cart. Being my first attempt to purchase the kits I was scared they would sell out fast. So I ended up with the Koko K and Exposed lip kits. The formula feels a little drying because it is so matte but they lasted so well on my lips, I will definitely be adding more to my collection.
I got an email from Gerard Cosmetics for a sale on their star powders, ive heard so many good things about them so I decided to pick out the shade Grace. It seriously is beautiful, close behind the Charlotte Tilbury highlighter. I also got 3 lipsticks in Mystic Moon, Kimchi Doll, Rodeo Drive and a hydra matte liquid lip in Serenity, the Manny Mua collaboration. The Morphe 35W palette has been in so many tutorials and Instagram posts lately. As soon as I found a website that had it in stock I needed to add it to my Morphe collection. Morphe palettes are so affordable and pigmented making them an easy choice to have in any collection. The 35O is definitely my favourite Morphe Palette.
During this spending spree Beauty Bay had a sale on Makeup Geek shadows. Being on a mission to own all of their eyeshadows I had to purchase more. I kinda brought random ones just to change it up from my normal warm brown colours. I picked out, Dirty Martini, Americano, Mirage, Rapunzel, Vintage, Cherry Cola, Jester, Houdini and Mesmerised.
The last order was from Ry.com.au, I love ordering my Becca products from them as they are affordable and have fast shipping. I picked up a Shimmering Skin Perfector (pressed) in Pearl to add to my collection of Skin Perfectors. I also got 2 blushes in Wild Honey and Nightingale. As I really enjoy their blush formula and I’m aiming to own them all. And last I picked up the Shade and Light Bronze Contour Perfector. I haven’t seen it talked about much so I’m looking forward to trying it.
What did you pick up in any of these sales or releases? Also what posts would you like to see on Mymakeupdesk. I’d love to hear what you would like to see.
