What’s In My Travel Makeup Bag?

I’m back and starting the year with what is in my travel makeup bag. First of all I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and Happy New Year. Thank you to each and everyone of you for all the support through out 2016 on mymakeupdesk. I have just got back from New Zealand. Where I went to spend time with my family and loved ones. I still haven’t unpacked my makeup bag, been waiting until I write this post so I can share with you what I took. I love reading these types of posts as I feel like what you take travelling you know you can rely on and is a favourite. My advice for travelling is to choose items that can be easily replaced incase they get damaged or lost.

What Makeup I packed

Australis Fresh and Flawless Powder– This powder is not only amazing but its super affordable. Making the perfect choice for travelling.

Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous Foundation – I don’t know what happened with this foundation. It used to be a holy grail product. But in NZ it just wouldn’t work for me, may have been related to the weather or something.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette– At first I was a bit hesitant to take this palette as it is my absolute favourite and I was scared it would get broken. But I knew it was the palette I hadn’t even put down since I got it and I’m so glad I packed, I used it everyday for basic and glam looks.

Makeup Geek Eyeshadows Z Palette – I packed this palette because it has all my favourite shadows and a good range of colours in it but I never used it.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette – I have no idea why I packed this palette because I paid so much money for it when it first came out in America. However im obsessed with everything in it I had to take it. I love using the powders to set my whole face, if you have tried it you really need to.

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow Palette – Totally in love with this highlight it’s the only thing I used, and the sculpting shade was that perfect contour for my tanned body.

Kylie Cosmetics Literally Gloss – I got this about 3 weeks before Christmas and ive used it ever since. I am in love with these glosses and will definitely be picking up more.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer – I packed this baby, because it suits so many skin tones meaning I could use it when my tan faded.

RCMA Loose Powder – By now I think this powder speaks for itself, amazing quality, affordable and so much product.

Estee Lauder Double Wear – A staple product in any kit. Super full coverage and long lasting. Perfect for my New Years Eve look.

Makeup Forever HD Stick Foundation– At first I was unsure about this product, until I used it three times. I became obsessed, has a good full coverage and lasted so well in the humidity.

Bare Minerals Prime Time– My ride or die primer, I loved using it by itself when I didn’t want to wear makeup.

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer – This primer is amazing at making your makeup last. Also helps correct redness and smooth out any imperfections.

Maybelline Push up Drama Mascara– Super black pigmented mascara. As I have extensions I love using this one on my bottom lashes to lengthen them out.

Benefit Ready Set Brow – You want your brows to last through sun or snow, then this is your product. Sets my brows like concrete. Perfect in NZ where it was quite humid.

Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil – I chose to take this pencil because you can create a natural looking brow or a full dramatic brow. It really is a great product.

Benefit brow zings – I packed this because it has miniature tweezers and eyebrow brush and im loving using the powder to fill in gaps in my brows.

Nars Jubliation Dual Intensity Blush – Techincally a blush but a stunning hightlighter for everyday wear.

Benefit Porefessional Primer – My holy grail pore primer. I always gently pat into my pores and t zone, and it helps my makeup go on smoother.

Mac Lipstick in Blankety – Im sure if you follow me on instagram you would know I use this ocolour way too much. Its just the perfect nude.

Bare Minerals Bare Skin Concealer– Only concealer I packed and im so in love with it. im moving on to my second tube. Has full coverage but doesn’t dry out the under eyes.

Benefit Ka Brow– Another brow product of course. This product I love using on the tail of my brows. High maintenance I know but it works for me.

Models Prefer Kohl Pencil – Just a basic black kohl pencil super black and creamy.

Mac Fix + Spray – I can’t go anywhere with out fix + it has so many uses its a must when travelling. I recently wrote a post on my uses you can read that here.

What are you favourites when you go travelling? I was in New Zealand for 2 weeks, so I didn’t pack too much but I was happy with what I chose.

  • What a comprehensive travel makeup kit you packed! It’s a good idea only taking what is easily replaceable in case you loose items.

  • Stacey White

So many faves and so many bits I need to try! I always use to take a palette with me that was so fragile and broke it twice so learnt the hard way to only take things that are either sturdy or not as pricey to replace!
